Welcome to Life FM’s New Kids Page!

Hi! I’m Sarah Possart, host of Sarah’s Mixed Veggies, which you can hear at 8 on Saturday mornings and 5:30 Saturday afternoons. Tune in and have some fun listening to a Veggie Tales tale, some gorgeous Veggie songs, and OF COURSE some very silly Silly Songs. It’s a blast!

Now, as the summer school holidays get going, we at Life FM thought we’d give kids of all ages something fun to do with their free time, so we’re running a Veggie Tales drawing competition!

Each week I’ll be giving away a DVD of the Veggie story I’ve played that week. All you Veggie-lovers have to do to win it, is draw your favourite Veggie Tales characters – that’s right, absolutely ANYONE you like – and send it in to me!

If you want to enter over the internet, email your drawing to gippsland@lifefm.com.au.

If you’d rather send me a hard copy – not hard like a rock, hard as in the real thing – then our address is: Life FM, PO Box 1378, Sale 3853.

At the end of the week, I’ll pick my favourite drawing and announce the winner on the show on Saturday. It’s so easy! Send in your pictures for a chance to win!

Last week Andrew from Alberton sent me a fabulous drawing of Larry Boy and the Larry Mobile, and has earned himself a DVD of “Josh and the Big Wall”. Congratulations again Andrew – I hope you enjoy the story as much on-screen!

You can also see the drawings done by the lovely van Andel girls, who won “Minnesota Cuke” in the first week of the competition, and Bob the Tomato by Christy Rash, our youngest LifeFM member and budding artist, who won “Dave and the Giant Pickle”.

And this is the LAST WEEK of the Veggie Tales competition kids! The final episode of “Sarah’s Mixed Veggies” will be this Saturday, so if you’ve been thinking about sending your drawings in but haven’t done it yet, this is your last chance!

After this week I’ll be presenting “Sarah’s Mixed Veggie Adventures”, which will still play Veggie tunes, but with an “Adventures in Odyssey” story instead. So the fun will keep coming, but no more Veggie drawings! Instead I’ll run an “Adventures in Odyssey” trivia-type quiz and the prizes will be given out monthly. I’ll tell you more about it later.

For now, get creative and send me those drawings! There’s still a few characters I don’t have pictures of, so feel free to go crazy!
